When The Parking Lot Brawl Was Taped, CW Head Shoots On SD!, More

According to Newsday.com reporter (and former WWE writer) Alfonso Castillo, the backstage segments of the John Cena vs. JBL "New York City Parking Lot Brawl" match at The Great American Bash were taped on Saturday night. Castillo, who attended the event, was told by a WWE cameraman that the backstage segments were taped on Saturday night. I also posted this on this site late last night. You could clearly see the edits time and time again during the match which made it awful to watch.

Guys it would really mean a lot to me if you checked out the new POPUP-FREE website I just launched at WZRRadio.com. The site is totally interactive and you can comment on news posts like this one. It's also got EXCLUSIVE backstage news and EXCLUSIVE women galleries that are not posted anywhere else. I'd really appreciate you checking it out and commenting on the posts. It's such a cool website with tons of cool stuff that not other wrestling website has. PLEASE just give it a look if nothing else. Check it out now at WZRRadio.com.

WWE.com has confirmed the date and night for the next edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. It is scheduled to air two Saturdays from now on August 2nd at 9 p.m. WWE has teamed with actress Jenny McCarthy and Generation Rescue to raise $100,000 toward autism research leading up to the show on NBC. The event is scheduled to be taped next Monday at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C.

TV Barn has an article entitled CW chief: "Smackdown" was just too manly for our "brand". Dawn Ostroff, President of Entertainment of The CW Television Network, was grilled on a number of questions regarding the network, including why SmackDown was dropped even though it performs well for the station. Ostroff said, "WWE" on Friday night ... was really all men. There was no duplication in our audience at all for any of our other shows. When you looked at the viewers who came to us from "WWE," they did not watch any other show on The CW and vice versa. ... We know that taking something like "WWE" off, which was a very strong performer, will have an impact on the schedule. The question is will we be able to compensate in other places. But I think what's really important is that we have talked about building a brand, about having flow."
