WWE SmackDown Results - November 3, 2006

Report by Richard Trionfo of PWInsider

While the Smackdown brand does not have a pay per view until Armageddon, there are some members of the Smackdown roster who will need to get ready for Cyber Sunday. Will Chris Benoit or Kane be the man chosen to face Umaga? Will King Booker’s title be on the line when he faces John Cena and Big Show in the Champion of Champions match? What is next for the Cruiserweight champion since he has not defended the title on television for a while? Will we hear from Rey Mysterio? Will we see anything new develop between Chavo Guerrero, Vickie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit? What will happen when the Undertaker and Kane team again?

We are live on tape from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and your announcers are Michael ‘Cecil Cooper’ Cole and John ‘Jack Sikma’ Layfield.

Rey Mysterio comes to the ring with the assistance of a crutch. Cole says that wwe.com is reporting that Rey is going to retire. Rey talks about his match two weeks ago in Los Angeles and we see the footage of Chavo making Rey quit after taking numerous chair shots to the knee. Rey says that is what happens in the business. Now he needs surgery on his left knee. He says that he wanted to come out and talk to everyone from the bottom of his heart before he had the surgery. He is not going to make any excuses and he is going to be straight up with everyone. He quit that match because of the pain in his knee. He quit with the hope of coming back to fight Chavo again. He wants everyone to know that he did not quit on the fans. That is because the fans have never quit on him. Rey says the fans helped him win the 2006 Royal Rumble. The fans made Rey realize that dreams can come true when he won the World Title at Wrestlemania. When this is all over and when he returns from surgery, we will climb that mountain again and there is nothing . . .

Chavo Guerrero’s music plays and he comes out to the ring with Vickie Guerrero and a chair. Chavo says that they heard him talking and they decided to ask him a favor. Chavo wants Rey to say it again. He wants Rey to say ‘I Quit’ again because those words coming out of his mouth are like music to Chavo’s ears. If Rey will not say that, he has another favor for Rey. Chavo wants Rey to autograph the chair that he used in the ‘I Quit’ match. He wants Rey to autograph it where the chair broke. He wants Rey to be a good sport since he has nothing else to lose. He lost the World Title, he lost an ‘I Quit’ match, and he is a cripple. Chavo says that since Rey will not autograph it, he will autograph it himself. Chavo puts ‘I Quit’ on the chair since those were the words to come from Rey’s mouth. Rey swings the crutch, but he misses and Chavo kicks Rey in the knee. Chavo kicks Rey in his injured leg and then he hits Chavo in the leg with the chair. Chavo says that he wants to hear Rey say ‘I quit’ again. Vickie gets ready to hit Rey with the chair, but Chris Benoit comes out to the ring. Chavo and Vickie go to the back and we go to commercial.

We are back with a Moments Ago Moment of Chavo hitting Rey one more time in the knee.
